We are pleased to announce that the 14th annual Canadian International College and University Baseball showcase will be held once again in the City of Hamilton Ontario, Canada on Saturday October 27th and Sunday October 28th, 2012.

This year we will be featuring over 80 of Eastern Canada’s top College, University and MLB Pro Prospects as well as top prospects from Michigan , New York , Pennsylvania and Ohio in two age categories.  The junior division will feature players who will be graduating in 2014 and the senior division will include players 17 to 19 years of age who will be graduating in 2013.  Also included will be players who have graduated in 2012 but who remained behind to take post graduate studies and will be available for placement this coming January.   

Upon their arrival at the showcase facility, each attending College or University Coach will receive a professionally bound information portfolio on each player who will be participating as will all attending MLB Scouts and/or cross checkers.  

In addition, individual player performance videos will also be available for those who require same. 

This will be our 14th annual top elite prospects showcase and it promises to be the best ever!  The showcase will be held once again at the Hamilton Sports dome, a state of the art facility measuring 400 feet in length by over 180 feet in width.  Because of the size and layout of the facility, unlike other indoor showcases, we are able to feature all of the players working out and demonstrating their talents and abilities at their respective positions.  Using a position specific format, we are able to include full infield and outfield drills, run the 60s, take advantage of our 72 foot batting cages, and pitch off of our synthetic mounds.

The Players Showcase will be held on Saturday and runs from 9:00 am in the morning until 3:00 pm in the afternoon.  A complimentary light breakfast and a full luncheon during the mid-day break will be provided to all attending Coaches, Recruiters and Scouts.  Stop watches and radar guns for those who need them can be provided, however, they will be in limited supply.  So that you are able to see and evaluate every participating player, all positions will be scheduled in separate time slots throughout the day starting with outfielders, then catchers, followed by infielders, and finishing with pitchers.   

On Sunday, October 28th, the day following the showcase, we will be holding our annual Canadian International College & Pro Scout Seminar.  Coaches and Scouts will be treated to a full complimentary hot luncheon buffet and will once again get a chance to meet and greet the players they may have an interest in recruiting along with the player’s families.

For those Coaches or Recruiters who wish to be on our Sunday Coaches Panel and address the players and parents in attendance, this will be your opportunity to speak briefly about the programs offered to athletes at your schools.  It is a very relaxed and fun atmosphere, especially during the Q & A period where player families get a chance to ask questions of the Coaches in attendance or on the panel.  

Coach, if you are seriously interested in recruiting top calibre Canadian players including a number of players we will be inviting from New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Michigan, you won’t want to miss this event!   Last year alone, over 90% of the grad eligible players in attendance were offered College or University scholarships while a number of others were taken in the MLB draft.   One of our former players who was recruited at this showcase was subsequently drafted Joey Votto who now leads the National league in hitting with the Cincinatti Reds.
